The Tangled Scales of Justice for Steve Amenhauser.

It was Friday, March 5, 2021, in the dying city of Rochester, New York.

In a decaying neighborhood on Lyell Avenue, a 53-year-old man, recently widowed, was living out his life in poverty.

Two feral urban humanoid teenagers, 14 and 16, doused him with a flammable liquid and set fire to him.

The police were called and promptly took the teenagers into custody. They were in the area, still sticking around presumably to admire their handiwork.

The man was taken to hospital with second and third degree burns over 70% of his body, from which he succumbed on Tuesday, March 9.

On Friday, March 12, the two teenage monsters were charged with second degree murder.

There was only perfunctory coverage by the media of this incident.

The elected members of our "august" City Council said absolutely nothing about this horrific crime, especially the district city councilman in whose constituency this crime occurred.

There was silence from the then-Mayor of Rochester's office and her administration about this crime.

The ministers who swarm around City Hall like flies around a manure pile also remained silent.

The cat also got the tongues of Congressman Joe Morelle and County Executive Adam Bello.

However, the year previously, these two creeps were more than willing to join demonstrators blocking Main Street in protest over the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis, a drug-addicted career felon who died in police custody.

The same silence came from the county legislators whose districts fell within the boundaries of the City of Rochester, especially the person in whose district this horrific crime occurred.

A poor older man who was set ablaze by teenage monsters in one of Rochester's slums was beneath their notice.

So why was there no public outrage and nothing but crickets coming from our elected official, government agencies and the local news media?

The answer is as simple as it is ugly.

The victim, Steve Amenhauser, was White.

And the teenage monsters, Zavion Perry, 16, and Adriel Riley, Jr, were Black.

Had the color scheme been reversed, there would have been a tremendous public outcry from the media and our government officials.

There would have been shouts of "racism," and demands that the courts treat this as a "hate crime."

There would have been riots, vandalism and violence, similar to what occurred in 2020 over the deaths of George Floyd and Daniel Prude.

Because Steve Amenhauser was White, they all chose to ignore his murder and stare into space, saying "Oh look at the grouse!"

Nothing more.

And Riley already had a history of violence, the records of which had been conveniently sealed by Family Court.

On March 31, at Holy Apostles Church, not far from where he lived and was murdered, the Roman Catholic Church performed the last rites for Steve Amenhauser, courtesy of the Rochester Police Department.

Steve Amenhauser had no living relatives.

The rest of City Government took no cognizance of that, either, because they really didn't care. It didn't help to promote their progressive liberal agenda, so it had to be ignored.

This conspiracy of silence can be laid squarely at the door of progressive liberalism and Woke Cancel Culture, which has become so prevalent in our society over the last few years.

Progressive liberalism promotes the concept that Black folk cannot be racist because they had been victims of racial discrimination, which is bullshit. They also shriek a great deal about systemic racism and White privilege holding Black folk back and the need to make reparations to Black folk for past injustices.

In short, why should they care about an older White bum murdered by Black teenagers when so much violence had been directed against Blacks in the past?

Woke Cancel Culture attacks those who do not subscribe to progressive liberalism by accusing them of racism, sexism, homophobia and transphobia, hoping to frighten outspoken people, especially politicians, into supporting the nonsensical progressive liberal agenda.

Or else.

The murder of one older man is therefore unimportant and not worthy of attention when so much else is going on.

It is this bullshit that is tearing our society apart, making people afraid to speak up when such accusations are thrown at them.

For two years there has been silence about justice for Steve Amenhauser.

I truly believe that the powers that be in our liberal progressive society purposely delayed the day of reckoning for so long because they hoped people would forget about it.

Until today.

Finally, the two teenage monsters, now two years older, are going to trial.

One of them has pled guilty to manslaughter, not murder.

The other waived his right to a jury trial, opting for a bench trial beginning today before Judge Romeo in State Supreme Court's "Youth Part."

Nowhere is there anything about this being treated like a "hate crime," which it would have been treated as such if the color scheme had been reversed.

Not unexpectedly, that is all of the news on the subject, which is still being ignored by the local news media and our City Government.

Ultimately, there will be some minor punishments handed out to the two monsters, simply because they are "kids."

Deadly, dangerous kids, accustomed to violence.

And murder.

The local news media will probably bury the results somewhere, because they really don't care about the victim.

And justice for Steve Amenhauser?

I truly believe that our liberal justice system is unconcerned with that.

After all, he had White Privilege going for him.
