"Sir" Keir Starmer Resigns! Toot, Toot Tootsie, Goodbye!

Let's face it, Larry the Cat has been the only dependable personality at Number 10 Downing Street for the last fifteen years. As "Mouser in Chief," Larry has been more popular than most British politicians and has lasted at Number 10 longer than any of them, He has seen five prime ministers come and go in that time. Today, that number rose to six! "Sir" Keir Starmer announced his resignation as British Prime Minister today, although he will stay on until the Labour Party chooses another leader, who will then become Prime Minister in Starmer's place. That person will probably be Andy Burnham, formerly mayor of Greater Manchester whose election as an MP for Makerfield last week put the final nail in Starmer's political coffin, as Burnham stated that if elected to Parliament he would challenge Starmer for leadership of the Labour Party. For the last several years, the media has been paying a God-awful amount of attention to the British monarchy. Brexit, the collapsing economy, the illegal alien issue, the disintegrating social fabric and the political instability of its ruling elites have all taken rear seats to the antics of the costly and anachronistic House of Windsor.  In the last year, the struggling British taxpayer has been stuck footing the bill to fete the Royal Family three times, spending hundreds of millions of pounds during a time of economic hardship. First, there were the festivities surrounding the "Platinum Jubilee" of Queen Elizabeth the Second. Only the video of the Queen taking tea with Paddington Bear was delightful and heartwarming. It was the least expensive of the lot.
