Let me state for the record that I am a lapsed Catholic. I survived the ordeal of a Catholic education and walking through the penguin compound at zoos still makes me nervous. However, I will argue to my dying day that people have the right to practice their religion even if I do not subscribe to them. It is a right enshrined in our own Bill of Rights in the Constitution. This, however, does not give practitioners of various religions the right to harangue people in order to proselytize them or to preach politics from the pulpit, which I have seen only too often during political campaigns in Rochester, New York and I can safely assume it occurs elsewhere as well. This violates the principal of separation of church and state. Violators and their churches can lose their tax-free status if caught. Nothing about The Donald's arrogance that has shattered old international alliances. Nothing about the disruptions to global trade and the global economy caused by The Donald and Benny's unilateral war against Iran. Nothing about the bloodshed, death, destruction and violations of international law that The Donald and Benny have wrought upon the world. The whole world has seen that The Donald and Benny's war against Iran hasn't gone to plan. Despite their tortured efforts to destroy Iran and remake it to suit their own egos and agendas, that hasn't happened and the war, with its death and destruction still goes on. This has infuriated The Donald, who supposedly penned "The Art of the Deal." He expected Iran to capitulate on Day One of his and Benny's war against them, and gratefully accept any deal that he might offer, no matter how humiliating. Only Iran has repeatedly said "No deal!" The Donald knows only how to insult, threaten and intimidate. Those are his methods and they are not working here. His latest bullying tactic was to threaten Iran with "Hell on earth" if they did not reopen the Strait of Hormuz to shipping, specifically the shipping of oil, which the world economy depends upon and 20% of it passes through the Strait of Hormuz. Yesterday there were numerous "No Kings" protests across America. According to the liberal news media, three million people participated, exercising their constitutional right to assembly and free speech. That sounds like quite a lot, until you remember that number is far less than one percent of the population of the United States. The remaining 99.9% of Americans couldn't be bothered with them. They went about their lives, either mildly amused by the protests, or disgusted by them, or apathetic to them. The protesters were congratulated by aged actress Jane Fonda, who has forever placed herself at the forefront of any anti-establishment movement, which just goes to show you the delusion prevalent among celebrities that they are very influential. Woke progressive liberals needed no encouragement from her to protest the government. So, what was the result? Apart from shouting themselves hoarse and leaving trails of litter in their wake? Yawn. The liberal loonies are staging another series of "No Kings" protests today to indicate their displeasure with the antics of US president Donald Trump. Like their actions will change anything. But it does give them something to do, exercising animal energies that would be put to better use by cleaning their lawns and houses, doing their laundry and writing letters to their congressmen. To them, this is more fun. Admittedly, bigger cities like New York City and places like California will probably see tens of thousands of woke progressive liberals protesting against The Donald, but those places are just off the coast of Planet Earth. It's not hard to get liberals there to protest anything and everything. Unfortunately, there are several flaws with the protesters' way of thinking that their little "do" will accomplish anything. It's no secret that The Donald and Benny's war against Iran isn't going exactly as they hoped when they started it. Iran didn't collapse; despite the horrendous amounts of death and destruction The Donald and Benny have inflicted upon them, Iran's massive retaliation against them has proved that they might be bloodied but unbowed. This fact has pissed off The Donald and Benny more than somewhat, especially since the allies of the US in the Persian Gulf and Israel itself are facing the brunt of Iran's wrath, which might be lessening but not completely abating. The biggest problem with The Donald and Benny's war is one of credibility. Nobody can truly believe everything and anything they say about their war. That's because The Donald and Benny are inveterate liars. Don't get me wrong, most politicians ARE liars, especially in supposedly democratic regimes that are subject to the will of their peoples and face re-election challenges at regular intervals...
