A King De Jure Visits Our King Manque! And Who Cares?
King Charles III of the Disunited Kingdom and his current wife, Queen Camilla, began their state visit to the US on Monday. Yawn. It is lacking the tumultuous fanfare state visits usually produce because of the media circus produced by the supposed assassination attempt of the president and/or high-ranking government officials at the White House Correspondents Dinner on Saturday Night. THAT incident has raised a lot more questions than the government has provided logical or believable explanations, which is giving the media plenty to concern itself with, to the exclusion of all else. Yet less than twelve hours after the incident, it was announced the King Charles III and his wife would make a four-day state visit to the US starting on Monday! While King Charles III had been invited to the US to celebrate our 250th "birthday," nobody was sure when or if he would come, given his health concerns over his ongoing treatment for cancer. The idea of that visit seems ironic, anyway. ...
