  Larry the Cat, Mouser in chief at Number 10 Downing Street, has just welcomed his seventh Prime Minister in his 15 years in residence there. That is no mean feat. Far more popular than any of the official political residents at Number 10, Larry the Cat has seen it all. From the yutz  parade of Conservative Prime Ministers to the black comedy of "Sir" Keir Starmer's quick rise and fall, despite the historic victory of the Labour Party in 2024, Larry the Cat has endured and survived them all. So, what does he make of it? Probably not much. The Disunited Kingdom has been a state of political, social and economic crisis even before Larry's residence there, but it really only came to a head with the asininity of Brexit from the European Union and the ineptitude of the Conservatives' handling of COVID. King Charles III of the Disunited Kingdom and his current wife, Queen Camilla, began their state visit to the US on Monday. Yawn. It is lacking the tumultuous fanfare state visits usually produce because of the media circus produced by the supposed assassination attempt of the president and/or high-ranking government officials at the White House Correspondents Dinner on Saturday Night. THAT incident has raised a lot more questions than the government has provided logical or believable explanations, which is giving the media plenty to concern itself with, to the exclusion of all else. Yet less than twelve hours after the incident, it was announced the King Charles III and his wife would make a four-day state visit to the US starting on Monday! While King Charles III had been invited to the US to celebrate our 250th "birthday," nobody was sure when or if he would come, given the health concerns over his ongoing treatment for cancer. The idea of that visit seems ironic, anyway. ...

 "Sir" Keir Starmer, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, hosted a summit meeting in London on Sunday, the purpose of which was to come up with proposals to end the war in Ukraine that would leave that nation sovereign and independent. It was a study in absurdity, because the proposal that this meeting ultimately arrived at was to be presented to US President Donald Trump for his approval. That won't be forthcoming any time soon. President Trump and his vice president publicly humiliated Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Friday and the latter quickly left the White House and America to head to London for Starmer's summit meeting. President Trump made it clear that Zelenskyy had better come back begging for him to "settle" the war in Ukraine...under Russia's terms, which would effectively end Ukraine's independence.
