The Police Accountability Board (PAB) needs no introduction to anyone who has lived in Rochester, New York for the last six years or is an aficionado of Black Comedy.  Or to anyone who has read this blog for the last few years. That being the case, only a cursory history of the PAB will be provided here. The PAB was originally conceived to be a body of citizens appointed to investigate alleged incident of police abuse regarding their interaction with criminals. To be appointed to this "august" group, one needed to be a resident of the City of Rochester. Some weren't. A prospective candidate could not be related to, or be a friend of, a Rochester City Police Officer. But they could, and many are, family and friends of criminals. Clearly, the PAB was never meant to be unbiased in their investigations. The most bizarre political show trial in American history was concluded in New York City today. Joseph Stalin, Adolf Hitler, Idi Amin, Vladimir Putin and the Iranian Ayatollahs would be proud. Democrats are, of course, exultant. They think that this will knock Trump out of the presidential race against the senile and incontinent horse's ass that is Joe Biden. The Democrats, using our obviously corrupt justice system, managed to convict ex-president Donald Trump of dubious crimes that both the federal Department of Justice and the Election Commission refused to consider previously. The "crimes," if there really were any, were misdemeanors and past the statute of limitations. Alvin Bragg, Manhattan's District Attorney and pet eunuch of the NYS Attorney General, Tish James, chose to revive these charges against Donald Trump, although they were outside of his jurisdiction. Who woulda thunk it? In the midst of all of the "peaceful" demonstrations on college campuses across America, featuring brainwashed pro-Hamas Nazi anti-Semitic college students and outside agitators on one side and pro-Israel anti-terrorist students on the other, some common ground became apparent. Videos of the protest at the University of Alabama went viral. After the usual chants of the pro-Hamas Nazi students of "Death to Israel" and "Kill the Jews" and of the pro-Israeli side shouting "Israel Must Live" and "Remember October 7," a strange and unusual incident of concurrence between the two violently opposed sides occurred. They both began to shout "Fuck you, Joe," "Fuck Joe Biden" and "Let's Go, Brandon!" At last, something both sides could agree upon!  Let's face it, in our automobile centered world, you're bound to get a violation ticket sooner or later. It might be as simple as a parking ticket, for being too long on one side of an alternative parking street or simply not being able to get back and put more money into your parking meter on time. Or being parked in a "No Parking" zone. I daresay these are the most common. And you generally don't see police officers on these occasions. Moving violations are a bit trickier. You might be driving on a road where the speed limit changes frequently and there is inadequate signage designating the speed for that stretch of the road. Police cars are equipped with devices that measure the speed of vehicles in traffic, and if you are going far faster than the speed limit designates, you ARE going to be pulled over, with police car sirens blaring and lights flashing.  Rochester, New York has become a deadly violent place to live, work and play. I have been spending more and more time in Germany over the last five years and after each trip the thought of returning to Rochester usually unnerves me. My European friends wonder why I remain living in such a dangerous place, especially when, thanks to the internet, they can read for themselves what is going on here. There I can walk the streets at any hour, feeling safe and relatively secure. Here, in the neighborhood where I still maintain a residence, I won't walk my dogs after dark. There are some streets that I find it necessary to avoid because of the propensity for violence to occur there. Even when merely driving through them. And we no longer have beat cops walking the streets anymore. They were a usual feature in my youth, and I honestly believe that their presence in the neighborhoods helped prevent crime or at least provided a sense of security. Let's face it. Our president and the entire Biden regime are eyesores and a humiliation to the US.
