Bad News for the Police Accountability Board's "Porn Stache Guy!"

 

Another episode of Rochester's ongoing clown show, the anti-cop Police Accountability Board, was concluded yesterday.

An independent investigation requested by Rochester's City Council called for the termination of the PAB's executive director, Conor Dwyer Reynolds.

Reynolds is "affectionately" known as "Porn Stache Guy" because of his uncanny resemblance to gay porn actors from the 60's and 70's, only unhealthier looking, 

The investigation found that Porn Stache Guy "exhibited during his active tenure, and continues to demonstrate, poor leadership and inappropriate behaviors that make him unsuitable to serve as Executive Director of the PAB." 

The complaints were about, but not limited to sexual harassment, race discrimination, a hostile work environment, retaliation and city policy violations. 

It reported that he had created a toxic work environment (although far more people quit or were fired AFTER he was placed on paid suspension in May, and half of the Board want the current acting executive director to be terminated).

It also went on to state that his behavior had been unethical in that he leaked confidential information to other Rochester employees and the media and continued to do so AFTER he was placed on suspension.

At the same time, he violated FOIL (Freedom of Information Law) requests.

Furthermore, it dismissed Porn Stache Guy's claims that he was suspended as Executive Director as an act of retaliation on the part of the Board's chairperson, Shani Wilson, when he rejected her romantic advances. He chose to out himself as bisexual at that time.

The report found that his relationship with Wilson was consensual and raised eyebrows among the other members of the Board.

After all, there IS no accounting for taste.

Wilson has since quit and departed Rochester for the more "peaceful" City of Chicago!

As for the redacted report, that can be found on the City of Rochester's website under the heading "The Outside Investigation of the Police Accountability Board." It makes for interesting reading!

All in all, it has been a bad time for Porn Stache Guy, yet he claimed that the report "vindicated" him.

Clearly, he is delusional.

His recent lawsuit against Rochester was dismissed. He claimed that his suspension was "illegal" and therefore HAD to be reinstated as Executive Director.

The court found that while the meeting that had resulted in his suspension was irregular, it was not illegal. And that Shani Wilson had nothing to do with Porn Stache Guy's suspension.

Porn Stache Guy is appealing that decision. Well, he has plenty of time on his hands with which to do so.

What IS clear about the PAB is that it needs to be supervised. Its continuing lack of transparency and accountability annoy most taxpayers who are paying for their shenanigans. They are an expensive and wasteful bureaucracy, seemingly serving no other purpose than to spend money and annoy the Rochester Police Department.

The PAB's anti-cop position, mirroring that of City Council and the mayor's office, has actually sought to be superior to RPD and its union, the Locust Club and enforce punishments and terminations upon police officers accused of improper or violent behaviors, while the state has ruled that they merely exist in an advisory capacity.

The PAB continues to appeal those decisions as well as engage in internally self-destructive behaviors.

Let them. They ought to be defunded and dissolved anyway. McDonalds is always looking for workers.

Porn Stache Guy's part in the story is merely comedy relief. All that it lacks is leather, whips and chains. In public, that is.

All of Rochester would be interested in seeing something like that!

And just think of how that would jazz up Porn Stach Guy's resume!

He'd better start updating it.

And maybe our local terrorist organization, Free the People Roc, can hold a candlelight vigil for him outside of PAB's headquarters when he finally gets fired.

Porn Stache Guy got his ass fired last night (11/17/2022) by a 5 to 1 vote by the Board members. He can now apply for unemployment benefits and will probably undertake numerous frivolous lawsuits against Rochester and the PAB.
