I Wish You a Brave New Year!

2024 has been an exciting year for the entire world.

That is not to say that it has been a pleasant one for many people.

The western "democracies" began to reject the poisonous woke progressive liberalism that they have succumbed to for more than a decade, much to the dismay of the parasites that have profited from it.

While the ultimate expression of this rejection was the re-election of Donald Trump to a non-consecutive term as president of the United States, such a shift has been taking place in the world long before the November election.

I have already covered The Donald's defeat of the political, social and economic perversion that is Bidenism, so I will only touch on it to say that he was NOT the catalyst of the events that occurred concurrently throughout the world. Trump's election frightened woke progressive leaders throughout the world, whose own crumbling regimes were placed under closer scrutiny by the people that they were presumably supposed to benefit and/or represent.

One need only look at the European Union and some of its member states to realize how hopelessly out of touch their leadership is from the people they are supposed to serve.

Like in the United States, the immigration crisis is seen as a serious danger to many European states in terms of cost and increasing criminality and violence, yet Madame Ursula van der Leyen insists of punishing states who are seeking to solve that problem locally as well as enacting international trade deals that affect the livelihoods of many European citizens.

The result has been an increasing move to the right by such socialist states as Finland, Sweden and Denmark, who were always regarded as all-embracing of immigrants, while extremist far-right (neo-Nazi) parties have made frightening gains in the bodies politic of those states as well as Germany, France, Austria and Romania.

The Netherlands, which has also moved to the right politically, has begged to be allowed to administer its own regulations regarding immigration, only to be told "No" by Madame van der Leyen and her un-elected associates in the European Union.

The governments in Germany and France have fallen. Belgium hasn't had a functioning government for nearly two years and the Visegrad Group of states, comprising of Hungary, Czechia, Slovakia and Poland find themselves increasingly at odds with the leadership of the European Union.

The war in Ukraine continues after nearly three years despite billions in financial aid and war materiel, which illustrates the ineffectiveness of the European Union to deal with a major war on its own doorstep or the ineffectiveness to coordinate NATO to prepare for any future attempts by Putin to recreate the Soviet Union.

And despite a lot of brave talk by Ursula and Zelenskyy, Ukraine will not win the war. Zelenskyy now asks for a peace conference (which only Trump can force into being), but the only result will be the cession of a quarter of Ukraine's territory (already in Russian hands), the removal of Zelenskyy's government, the prohibition of Ukraine's joining the European Union and NATO and ultimately its "alliance" with Russia in a situation similar to that of Belarus.

Conflicts are not solved but settled in accordance with the wishes of the stronger power.

The Middle East still remains a mess. There is no peace in the Holy Land. Lebanon is a failed state, unable to control what goes on within its own borders. The horrible Asad regime, a Russian ally, has collapsed in Syria, to the glee of the western "democracies," while being replaced by insurgents whom they once labelled as a "terrorist" organization and whose leader has a $10 million price on his head.

But everyone in the west is hoping for the best, while Turkey seeks to snatch slices of Syria in order to move against the Kurdish minority which dominates the northeast region of that state.

Meanwhile, China, Russia, India, South Africa, Brazil and a host of lesser powers are seeking to create a new world economic order, which could be a serious threat to the dollar and the Euro if the economies of these associated states were stronger than they are. As it is, it's sort of laughable, but this group could be a nuisance, and with nuisances you might have to make accommodations.

And then there is Canada, our neighbor to the north, where the woke progressive liberalism of the Trudeau regime is crashing down around his head. No matter how cute he is, he has pissed off enough of his own party, who are asking for his resignation before their national election in the fall of 2025. The Liberals fear that their connection to Trudeau will lose the election to the Conservatives, who are champing at the bit to replace and undo the vestiges of the Trudeau government.

As for the United Kingdom, their political situation can be seen as world-wide comic relief. They rejected the Conservative government for the elitist Labour Party which, within weeks of their general election, has produced calls for the Prime Minister to resign. Labour has proved itself to be even less concerned with the welfare of the average British subject than were the Conservatives and are behaving like pick pockets stealing the handkerchiefs of the crew members on a sinking ship.

Way to go, "Sir" Keir Starmer!

This is only a brief, cursory look at what occurred in 2024, and there are far many others that I haven't touched upon.

Yet.

So, with the waning of 2024 and the coming of 2025, I ask you to raise your glass of cheap champagne and toast the New Year!

And fasten your safety belts.

It's going to be a bumpy ride.
