Murder Most Rochester: Three Homicides Since Sunday!
Rochester, New York is a deadly violent city.
No matter how much city government tries to spin it, no matter how much the city administration pays for public relations' puff pieces to tout the benefits of city living, no matter how much Democratic elected cop-hating officials tell us to believe them and not our lying eyes and ears, it remains a dangerous place to live, work and play.
True, the number of homicides fluctuate here annually, and there are plenty of violent incidents that might not result in immediate deaths, but that doesn't change the fact that Rochester has become a frightening place in which to travel.
Until this past Sunday, Rochester had only one homicide for month, which the powers that be touted as an improvement in our crime statistics.
Until Sunday.
Since then, there have been three homicides in our fair city, two in the last twenty-four hours.
Those two incidents involved shooting to death people driving their vehicles.
And, of course, they occurred in what can be bitterly referred to as Rochester's "Fatal Crescent," that swath of our fair city where homicides and violence usually and regularly occur.
That is merely a "euphemism" for the ghetto, which woke progressive liberals generally fail to note, fearing the accusations of "racism."
And such omissions do no favors to the unfortunate people whose poverty has reduced their circumstances to being forced to live there, spending their lives in a constant state of fear.
Even worse is that crime and violence has become normalized there, and people fear to speak to the police about their concerns because of any retribution they might face from the violent criminals who roam their neighborhoods.
One might add that city government is stocked with woke progressive liberal elected officials and their staffs who do their damnedest to belittle and hinder the Rochester Police Department, making law enforcement's already difficult job near impossible.
Coupled with the "catch and release" program New York State laws promote with the ridiculous Bail Reform Act, violent criminals are constantly being turned loose on an unsuspecting and fearful community.
There are simply some neighborhoods that most people in Rochester won't drive through, day or night, as a result.
It is too dangerous to do so.
One ought to remember that Rochester has been under Democratic control for more than forty years and that city government has shown a dearth of effective leadership in that time, although there have been a few sensible Democratic City Councilmen on occasion, but they have been shouted down and overridden by the woke progressive liberal herd.
Mores the pity, but they can't blame Rochester's woeful situation on Republicans or the big, bad Orange Man, though they still try in their election campaign propaganda.
It is the last day of January 2025.
There have been four homicides this month, one per week, which city government views as more or less acceptable.
But three in six days?
Will that trend continue?
Probably, especially when the weather warms up. That's when violence really takes off here.
Since it IS winter, and a typical freezing cold, snowy Rochester at that, stay home, keep warm and stay OUT of the Fatal Crescent if you can.
And wait for Spring and Summer, when things will really heat up!
It's amazing how liberating it must be for the criminals to live in this catch and release state!
