Happy Groundhog Day, When Americans Worship Marmots!


Every year on February 2 in America, Americans worship marmots.

Marmots are called groundhogs or woodchucks here.

They are supposedly imbued with the mystical ability to predict an early end to winter.

If a groundhog sees its shadow, there will be six more weeks of winter. If not, winter ends sooner.

The news media makes much ado about this bit of folklore, posting film crews outside of various groundhog's lairs, trying to lure them out of hibernation to record whether or not they see their shadows.

This act of animal abuse has made several American marmots famous, like Punxsutawney Phil of Pennsylvania.

Outside of providing Americans with a bit of fun during the winter, whether or not a groundhog sees its shadow has no effect on the weather whatsoever.

Most thinking people don't take it seriously.

Some Americans, however, DO believe in the efficacy of the groundhogs' predictions.

It's nice to see that those Americans believe in something, especially after the woke progressive liberal regime of the Biden Crime Family officially killed off God and science, even it falls within the realm of fantasy.

Fortunately, the political, social and economic perversion that was Bidenism reached its term and was rejected wholeheartedly by the American people.

It was replaced by the "America First" agenda of Donald Trump, much to the dismay of most of the world, which had been walking all over America during the Biden regime.

President Trump has spent the first two weeks of his new administration dismantling Bidenism, and thank heaven for that!

As the United Kingdom's King George III stated that he "gloried in the name of Britain," so is Donald Trump seeking to "make America great again."

That means to promote American institutions and the American people.

Groundhog Day is part of American lore and is therefore something that should be enjoyed and celebrated, even if it seems a bit arcane.

Under the Biden regime, patriotism itself was viewed as arcane and outdated.

But under President Trump, that too is something to be celebrated and promoted!

Russia's President Putin: "Mine is the Power!"

 During President Trump's re-election campaign, he stated that he could end the war in Ukraine in one day. He didn't. But he could have. After his inauguration, President Trump could have told Russia's President Putin to stand down and submit to a peace deal of America's devising or risk the US providing Ukraine with unlimited money, war materiel and means of mass destruction, giving Ukraine permission to use such weapons against Russian territory and civilian targets. Just like Russia is doing to Ukraine. Only he didn't. Instead, Trump demanded that Ukraine come crawling to him to beg his intervention and accept whatever peace plan Trump and Putin would devise, regardless of the long-term consequences. The Presidential Election of 2024: And Lo, There shall Be An Ending!

Yesterday's presidential election in the United States made history. In several different ways, much to the displeasure of woke progressive Democrats. For only the second time in US history, a president was re-elected to a non-consecutive term of office. The first time, Grover Cleveland accomplished that feat in 1892. Donald Trump did it yesterday, despite the tortured efforts of the Democratic National Committee, the corrupt Biden Regime and the equally corrupt Department of Justice to prevent him from running at all!
