Karma Finally Came Knocking on Anthony Hall's Door!
Anthony Hall needs no introduction to anyone who has been following the ongoing clown show that is Rochester's City Government for the last fifteen years.
An arrogant anti-cop bully and a self-proclaimed "Youth Intervention Gang Specialist" who exhibited the same sort of behavior City Government hired him to eliminate, Hall has been described by Rochester's Democrat and Chronicle as being known for his "community advocacy work," as well as being the director of the perpetually failing antiviolence Pathways to Peace" program.
Hall was a part of that program twice.
And fired from that program twice
Because he was so successful and inspirational in promoting antiviolence?
Hall also ran for Rochester's School Board.
And lost.
And for Rochester City Council.
And lost.
The Democrat and Chronicle carefully avoided recollecting Hall's checkered past, which is typical of Rochester's daily newspaper, having been infected by woke progressivism and is unwilling or unable to call a spade a spade.
The truth offends people.
I have already dealt with some of Hall's previous shenanigans in previous blogs, so I will provide only a brief synopsis of them here, before moving onto his latest prank.
Hall was fired from Pathways to Peace in 2017 for "abuse of power and misuse of resources," as well as hosting unauthorized after-hours parties at a city recreation center at which alcohol was served.
You will soon see how much of a role alcohol plays in Hall's story.
While between jobs, Hall became intimate with the local terrorist organization, Free the People ROC, which masterminded the local George Floyd riots here in 2020.
They will also play a role in Hall's tawdry saga.
In 2022, shortly after ascending Rochester's mayoral throne, Mahweak Evens appointed his cousin, Victor Saunders, to a cushy City Government job. He, in turn, rehired Hall to direct the ever-failing Pathways to Peace antiviolence initiative!
Within a few months of Halls reappointment to Pathways, when leaving a bar on North Street in the wee hours, he intruded upon a cordoned off police crime scene.
Alcohol, again.
Told by the police to leave, he refused to do so and was promptly arrested by the police.
The next morning. he promptly notified City Hall of his intent to sue them. At that same time, the local terrorist organization Free the People ROC staged a protest rally on the steps of City Hall in support of Anthony Hall.!
What happened with that lawsuit is anyone's guess, but it certainly proved to be embarrassing to the Evans regime, especially since Hall's previous shenanigans while working for Rochester were revisited by the local news media.
At least they were at that time.
Which brings us up to January of this year.
While under the influence of alcohol, he broke into the home of his estranged girlfriend, who promptly called 911 for police assistance.
When the police arrived and suggested that he leave (sound familiar?), he refused and got into a physical altercation with the police officer, injuring the officer and breaking his thumb.
Not bad for the man who was twice head of Rochester's antiviolence initiative!
Yet the injured officer was able to tackle and arrest Hall!
Thank you for your service, officer!
During the preliminaries of this case, it came to light that while Hall was a volunteer at CONEA (Coalition of Northeast Associations, a nonprofit organization), he transferred funds from them into his own account, starting in 2018 through the next year.
What a guy!
It shows you the qualities that City Government finds desirable in people they hire.
On Monday, Karma finally slapped Hall in the face. But not hard, more's the pity.
The judge sentenced Anthony Hall to two years in prison plus two years post release supervision.
Not bad, when one considers that assaulting a police officer is a felony and that alone could have gotten him a lot longer sentence.
As for embezzling from a nonprofit? I guess the judge didn't consider that to be important enough to tack more time onto Hall.
At any rate, he won't be making mischief in Rochester for a couple of years.
And there will probably be a job waiting for him at City Hall when he gets out of the slammer, since the Evans regime was not deterred by his previous bad behavior from rehiring Anthony Hall in 2022!
Still, Hall's sentence was justice of a sort.
And it is sad proof that you can take the man out of the ghetto, but you can't take the ghetto out of the man.
