The Sweet Bird of Youth Gets Thirty Years in a Cage!

Michael Scott Jr, 22, was sentenced on Tuesday in NY State Supreme Court in Rochester to 30 years in prison for two separate deadly shootings, occurring a year apart.

Scott pleaded guilty to manslaughter in both cases, not homicide, though I never knew a corpse that asked about the difference between the two.

This was obviously a plea deal, which is how most of our justice system in the US functions, sparing everyone the time, stress and expense of an actual trial.

This is supposed to make everyone happy, except maybe the families and friends of the victims.

If they complain, they are looked at as spoilsports and told that the courts have provided them with that meaningless word "closure" and that they should get on with their lives.

After all, justice WAS done, wasn't it?

Without plea deals, our already overbooked courts would grind to a halt.

That's because our legal system allows for a multitude of frivolous lawsuits to clog our courts.

"Sue 'em" has become the battle cry of tens of thousands of demented Karens out there, especially in Rochester, NY.

Plea deals allow murderers to admit to the lesser charge of manslaughter, which means unintentional murder, in place of homicide (intentional murder), which has stiffer penalties.

At least in New York State, which doesn't really have the death penalty anymore.

More's the pity.

The murders got Scott 25 years, with an additional 5 years tacked on for illegal gun charges.

New York State has the toughest gun laws in the US, yet criminals always seem to obtain firearms with no great fuss about the matter.

Even teenagers!

Let's recap Scott's pranks here, at least the few for which he was sentenced.

In September 2022, Scott lured 17-year-old Cajh'miere Robinson and another 17-yearold teenager to an isolated area to rob them. Robinson was shot multiple times and killed. The other teenager was shot in the face but survived.

Scott was 19 at the time.

His sidekick in this endeavor was Jaiden Robinson, then 17 and no relation to the murder victim.

Robinson is currently in jail, awaiting his trial in October of this year and charged with second-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

He will probably be offered a plea deal with lesser charges, as was the case with Scott.

What's even more aggravating about this crime is that it occurred near a city rec center, which offers free activities where the teen-age killers could have worked off their animal energies without resorting to shooting and killing anyone.

Then, heady with success at murdering one teenager and seriously injuring another without getting caught, Scott pursued and killed 22-year-old Demetrius Rucker, shooting him several times in the head and also shooting at house where there were children inside.

Fortunately, none of the residents of the house were injured.

That was in August 2023, when Scott was 20 years old.

And Scott was allowed to plead that this was manslaughter, too!

Yes, Scott was sentenced to 30 years in jail, plus five years of post-release supervision, which means that once a week he will either have to meet with or call a designated official and describe his activities.

But the real joke is the thirty-year sentence.

Firstly, how many corpses does a feral urban humanoid have to create to be rendered unable to be released from incarceration?

Apparently, two aren't enough.

Secondly, will Scott even serve the entire thirty-year sentence?

The odds are extremely unlikely that he will.

The New York State Board of Parole has an annoying habit of releasing violent criminals before their sentences are completed, claiming that these criminals have shown enough remorse to reenter society.

The real reason is that when the prisons get to be overcrowded, the New York State Office of Corrections instructs the Parole Board to start emptying them out to make space for the next batch of violent criminals.

The Parole Board promptly complies, usually without informing the municipalities and the police departments of the communities in which these violent now ex-cons will be dumped.

They are supposed to do so, but when the shit hits the fan later, they claim that particular violent felon's paperwork got mislaid somehow.

Which is exactly how serial killer Arthur Shawcross came to Rochester!

So, what's the sad conclusion I can bring this blog to?

Well, all of the people involved, perpetrators and victims, were teenagers or young adults.

All of these crimes occurred in what can be described as the ghetto as well as the "Fatal Crescent," where most of Rochester's homicides occur.

And no amount of woke progressive liberal rhetoric is changing that.

For now, Michael Scott Jr will be spending the next few years in jail and I suppose that we should be grateful for that.

But will he really be gone for 30 years?

And will the murderer of two people at different times really be rehabilitated when he gets turned loose?

And what about the other feral urban humanoids that will spring up to take his place?

Have some fun and ask the Democratic candidates running for office this year about it!

Like Rochester mayor, Mahweak Evans.
