Benny and the Jets: Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire!
Israel's Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu is a liar. A big one.
Even among politicians, that is quite a remarkable feat.
Most people living in so-called "democracies," especially the western ones, have grown accustomed to usual political lying, especially during election years when grandiose promises are made to sway voters and keep themselves in office.
Sadly, both the voters and the politicians know that the vast majority, if not all, of the promises the political candidates make will not be kept.
Once elected, these politicians feel that they have a right to steal, that they can make any statement no matter how untrue, dare anyone to question them and ultimately threaten anyone who calls them out in their lies.
One need only to look at the actions of Russia's Putin and Turkey's Erdogan enforcing their displeasure against any and all who oppose them or dispute their narratives
On local, more parochial levels, one doesn't have to look further than their own mayors and elected representatives to realize that politicians will say anything to get elected and stay in office, no matter how much people can see through them.
Rochester, New York is a prime example.
After all, who are you going to believe, them or your own lying eyes?
Such is the case of Benjamin Netanyahu.
Responding forcefully to the Hamas Nazis' horrific slaughter of unarmed Israelis on October 7, 2023, most of the civilized world sympathized with Netanyahu's military action in Gaza.
The civilized world felt that Netanyahu was justified in punishing the Hamas Nazis, AT THAT TIME!
That sentiment didn't last.
Netanyahu ordered the Israeli military forces into the Gaza strip to systematically destroy all buildings there in order to root out and destroy Hamas.
That meant levelling everything in the IDF's path, either with tanks or jets dropping bombs.
That meant not only residential buildings and businesses but mosques, schools and hospitals as well.
The Israelis even dropped bombs on the sole Christian church in the Gaza Strip.
According to Israel, these building harbored the Hamas Nazis.
Even the Christian church?
Nearly 60,000 men women and children died by such actions.
Netanyahu considers them to have been nothing more than collateral damage in Israel's glorious cause of destroying the Hamas Nazis.
Worse was yet to come.
With nearly all of Gaza reduced to ruins, and the bombing still going on, millions of Gazans find themselves fleeing for uncertain safety to other parts of the Strip, without food, water or medical supplies.
Israel promptly ordered a blockade of Gaza, preventing humanitarian supplies from reaching starving, ill and displaced Palestinians.
Netanyahu then claimed that Israel was providing these displaced Palestinians with what they needed.
That was a lie.
American podcaster Ben Shapiro has made the same claim, with no evidence other than Netanyahu's statement to justify such a claim.
He also claimed that there was no systematic starvation or denying of humanitarian aid to the Palestinians in Gaza imposed by the Israeli government.
That was a lie.
He also stated that there was no hunger or starvation in Gaza.
That was a lie.
After all, who are you going to believe, him or your own lying eyes when confronted by videos taken by western media reporters from states allied to Israel?
The United Nations, for all of its impotence, made note of the humanitarian crisis Israel has created in Gaza and demand that it stop withholding humanitarian aid to the Palestinians.
Netanyahu is not moved by such pronouncements.
However, Israel DID allow a few convoys of trucks, less than a hundred, to trickle into Gaza at designated points over the period of a few days.
It has been estimated that five or six hundred such convoys per day would be necessary to prevent mass starvation there.
Netanyahu refuses to allow this to happen.
The IDF also found it necessary to shoot at and kill dozens of people racing along those routes seeking food.
Even some volunteers tasked with helping to provide aid and medical treatment were killed.
Israeli authorities claim that they are looking into it.
But, amazingly, within Israel itself, despite Netanyahu's claims that there is no starvation in Gaza, several Israeli groups have condemned the government's policies there. They have stated that there IS starvation in Gaza and that it must stop.
Funny that! And in Netanyahu's own backyard!
Well, you can't fool all of the people all of the time, and Netanyahu can't accuse those people of being antisemitic.
Finally, some of Israel's staunchest allies, the UK, Germany, France and the United Stats have condemned Israel's clear policy of genocide by starvation, which Netanyahu claims that their threats to recognize Palestine as a state is merely playing into the hands of terrorists.
Worse is that members of the conservative wing of Netanyahu's government, have already stated that the ultimate goal of this action against the Hamas Nazis is the annexation of both the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
As for the Palestinians living there, these men have stated that they will have to "go somewhere else."
Where?
Heaven?
An official policy promoting the mass starvation of the Palestinians will certainly send them there.
As for the so-called western democracies, what is preventing the UK and the US from sending battleships filled humanitarian aid of food, medical supplies and field hospitals to Gaza?
Nothing.
Netanyahu wouldn't dare to send his jets to bomb them and prevent lifesaving aid to the Palestinians of the Gaza Strip.
If it pisses off Netanyahu, too damned bad.
However, that's what the western "democracies" seem to be afraid of, despite all of their high-toned, bogus sentiments.
Sanctions will not save Palestinian lives.
And recognizing Palestine as a state will have no effect if there are no Palestinians left to recognize.
That is the unconscious cruelty of the western "democracies."
They are dragging their feet making pious pronouncements awaiting situations to change and really doing nothing to remedy anything.
More prosaically, they simply don't care what happens in the Gaza strip, but blatantly ignoring it just makes them look bad.
Netanyahu knows this and, with gangster-like audacity, is trading on it.
Take a good look at his image at the top of this blog.
It will be added to a rogue's gallery of politicians and national leaders that illustrate the concept of "Pure Evil."
