The Circus Came to Town! Snow What and the Seven Dwarfs Came to Washington DC!

It is the stuff of which high farce is made.

One week ago, The Donald met with Russia's Vladimir Putin in Anchorage, Alaska.

The purpose was to discuss Putin's war against Ukraine.

Apart from Putin reiterating his demands for ending the war for the umpteenth time in public, on American soil, it accomplished nothing more than providing a phot op.

So, death and destruction in Ukraine will continue.

While The Donald hailed this meeting as "successful," "10 out of 10," all it did was show the world who the more powerful leader was.

It wasn't The Donald.

Then, heady with failure, The Donald got on the phone with Ukraine's Zelenskyy and summoned him to Washington DC in two days, informing him to wear a suit this time.

The Donald and his cronies made much of the fact that Zelenskyy didn't wear a suit at the February ambush and sent Zelenskyy packing for not being suitably grateful or humble enough for previous US aid.

Zelenskyy was also able to bring seven members of the European Union with him, ostensibly to discuss ending the war and providing security for its aftermath.

They were really there to protect Zelenskyy from being strongarmed by The Donald.

The European contingent consisted of The Netherlands'' Mark Rutte, current head of NATO; UK's Prime Minster "Sir" Keir Starmer; Italy's Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni; Germany's Prime Minister Friedrich Merz; French president Emmanuel Macron; Finland's president Alexander Stubb; and, last but not least European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

Those were the seven dwarfs, there to protect Snow What from the big, bad Orange Man and make themselves look important.

All that they did was to make themselves look desperate.

It needs to be noted that last year, most of the European Union's political leaders were actively opposed to The Donald's non-consecutive re-election, preferring to endorse braying jackass Kamala Harris for president so that American largesse would continue to flow unquestioned and bolster their sagging regimes.

"Sir" Keir Starmer's own Labour Party sent hundreds of Labour MPs to actively campaign for Harris!

They referred to The Donald as a buffoon and, arrogant and impotent, were dismayed at his victory.

And now, here they were, to genuflect before the buffoon and to kiss his ass, which they did profusely during this brief summit.

Which was exactly what The Donald wanted and expected.

He is, after all, a narcissistic megalomaniac whose tender ego needs constant caressing.

And he IS one of the three most powerful men in the world, whether or not they like that fact.

Hopefully, the European delegation brought Preparation H to use instead of ChapStick.

Especially Ursula von der Leyen, whose smiles looked even faker than usual.

She and The Donald detest each other, but they at least attempted to put on a good show.

After all, they were trying to fool the world!

The actual meetings were of no real importance.

Zelenskyy, wearing a suit and humble, handed The Donald a letter from his wife to Melania Trump.

The Donald said that America would "protect" Ukraine after a peace was brokered, which was an incredibly vague statement, while the European contingent said that they would be willing to send "peacekeeping" troops into Ukraine after the peace was settled.

Furthermore, The Donald stated again that there would be "land swaps" and that Russia would keep Crimea.

What's important to note here that the European Union had been demanding the return of Ukraine's pre 2014 boundaries, including Crimea. 

They remained silent on that subject now.

As for providing peacekeeping troops for Ukraine, while the European leaders might want to do that, such an undertaking would require the consent of their individual governments, many of which have said that they won't.

Hmm.

As for The Donald's statements about "protection," it is clear he won't send US military personnel to Ukraine.

As for providing Ukraine with "NATO type protections and guarantees" while being forbidden to join NATO, what the Hell does that mean?

Especially since The Donald is lukewarm about remaining in NATO, while the European Union knows that NATO cannot survive in America withdraws from that organization, and that scares them shitless.

And what real purpose would there be for Ukraine to be allowed to join NATO if America leaves it and the organization thereupon disintegrates?

But, given The Donald's wild gyrations from left to right on a daily, if not hourly, basis, his statements cannot be taken as absolute or binding.

He has gone from talking about "ceasefires" and then stating that he doesn't like ceasefires.

Of course, everyone agreed that there has to be yet another meeting, this time between Putin and Zelenskyy at a yet undecided neutral place.

So, the war, death and destruction in Ukraine continue.

But everyone else at this summit seemed satisfied.

As for Putin, he usually wears his enigmatic face, while his spokespeople make vague statements that serve only to delay matters.

Putin can let the western powers talk until they are blue in the face, because it allows him more time to conquer more of Ukraine.

Putin doesn't need the war to end because he is winning it.

The Donald needs the war to end, and for it to look like he ended it, so he can win the Nobel Peace Prize.

The Donald has claimed that he has ended ten wars, but he hasn't ended even one.

He also needs to distract the American people from the scandal involving his Department of Justice NOT producing the Epstein Files.

You know, the lists of friends and clients compiled by now-deceased (under mysterious circumstances while in police custody) sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.

The Donald is supposedly on that list.

Along with the Clintons and a host of other high-power degenerates.

Once the DOJ said that they had it. Now they claim that there is no such list.

Not too many people believe that, especially MAGA Republicans.

So, what's the uptick from the clown show that occurred in Washington DC?

Why, that death and destruction will continue in Ukraine while they plan for yet another meeting somewhere, sometime.

Perhaps before the Second Coming.

Putin hasn't agreed to anything because he holds all of the trump cards in his hands.

But the summit did provide a phot-op of European leaders kissing the ass of The Donald, displaying their flaccid impotence for the world to see.

And Putin can wait. Time means nothing to him. He is the most powerful man in the world.
