The "No Kings" Protests, or "What to do When You Have Nothing to do And Lots of Time to do it in!"
Yawn.
The far left woke progressives are at it again.
They're revolting.
They certainly are.
And they are protesting across America.
Again.
This can be quite amusing if it weren't for the huge amounts of litter they leave in their wake, which they regard as collateral damage for bringing their "message" to the people.
And maybe getting interviewed by the local liberal news media.
And their "message?"
Why, that legally elected President Donald Trump is acting like a king. Or a dictator. Or a tyrant.
Because they don't agree with his policies or actions.
What they have failed to realize is that the majority of American DO agree with The Donald's actions, or at least some of them, and the protesters are only attracting others of their far left woke progressive ilk.
True, several million protesters all across America are expected to participate in what I can only describe as romantic self-indulgence, perpetrated only to impress themselves with the numbers that will attend.
Yet it is always the same groups of kookaburras that organize and attend such protests.
The vast majority of Americans are unimpressed by their antics and choose NOT to join them.
They have better things to do with their time.
Like earning a living.
Or raking leaves.
Or doing charitable work.
These protests remind me of the protesters occasionally featured in Al Capp's cartoon "L'il Abner:" "Students Wildly Indignant about Nearly Everything."
The group was known as "SWINE," and they were forever protesting about something.
Or anything.
And just like the "No Kings" protesters today, SWINE had nothing to replace what they wished to destroy.
Which is why they are playing to a relatively small percentage of Americans and are not apt to attract many converts.
They aren't quite smart enough to realize that.
Most Americans are content with The Donald's administration, if not absolutely delighted with it, and "No Kings" has a distinct far left, if not to say Communist or Anarchist, reek to it.
That alone sends shivers up the spines of working-class and middle-class Americans.
I know that there were similar "No King" protests in Europe, especially in Berlin, but I wonder if there were such protests in the few remaining monarchies in Europe, most of which, like the Scandanavian states, are Socialist!
At any rate, I hope the protests here don't turn violent, as such "peaceful" protests here tend to become.
My sympathies would be with the policing agencies that would be forced to deal with disobedient and violent rabble.
Maybe, when it's all done, the protesters will go home and congratulate themselves on how successful it was.
And then tomorrow, when they wake up, it will remain as it was before they began their protests.
About from shouting themselves hoarse, they will have accomplished nothing because nobody in power or with real political influence will have paid attention do them.
Except for Democratic politicians who feed on such discord.
And all I can say is that we are fortunate NOT to have Greta Thunberg here!
