The US Government Shutdown is Over, or Schumie Schumie Doo, Where Are You?

And lo, there shall be an ending...to the US Government shutdown!

As of tonight, the longest shutdown in US history, 43 days, came to a close in the House of Representatives.

The vote was purely along party lines, with the Democrats voting against reopening the government.

As the Republicans have a slight majority in the House, its passage was a foregone conclusion.

It was the Senate that had been the problem for the last forty-three days.

While the Republicans hold a majority there, it was not enough to pass the bill to reopen the government and then to send it onto the House.

The Democrats shot down the bill 14 times.

As a result, federal aid to SNAP and WIC were curtailed and federal employees were either furloughed or working without pay.

Airline Controllers were working extra shifts to keep air traffic flowing, but many of them stopped showing up for work, which has resulted in a total disruption of flight schedules across the country, with delays or downright cancellations occurring.

This coming at a time when Thanksgiving will be celebrated next week, which is the most air trafficked day in the US.

The Grand Diabolarch of the shutdown was Brooklyn millionaire NY Senator Chuck (Schumie Doo) Schumer.

He happens to be the Senate minority leader of the Democrats and he made it quite clear that he would never allow his party to approve the Republican bill to reopen the government, because it said nothing about continuing subsidies for health face known as "Obamacare" (the Affordable Care Act).

That was the excuse Schumie Doo used, never mind the disruption the shutdown caused to the national economy or the livelihood to millions of Americans.

Schumie Doo's real reason is that he wanted to screw the Republicans and President Donald Trump by playing a game of chicken with them.

The Democrats couldn't screw The Donald in the courts, in the election, or in the left-wing liberal media, so they resorted to the shutdown.

Only it didn't work.

Last week, Schumie Doo graciously offered to reopen the government (like it was HIS decision to do so) if the Republicans agreed to fund health care to the tune of a trillion plus dollars, which would primarily benefit illegal aliens.

No Republican would ever concede that.

Instead, it was 7 Democratic senators and 1 Independent senator who voted with the Republicans on Monday night to reopen the government. They finally broke free of Schumie Doo's beguiling serpent's stare and thought of the plight of their constituents.

At last.

That gave the Republicans the votes they needed in the Senate to pass the bill and send it onto the House which, as I stated, approved it tonight.

And President Donald Trump signed the bill into law shortly thereafter.

What they approved was the same deal offered by the Republicans on Day 6 of the shutdown.

So the Democrats kept the shutdown going for nothing except to spite the Republicans, never mind the millions of Americans their stubbornness adversely affected.

Even more ironic is who the Democrats are blaming for this mess!

Why, Schumie Doo!

The woke progressive liberal Democratic politicians are blaming him for not being able to maintain the party discipline that would have kept the government shut down until doomsday.

Plenty of them are calling for Schumie Doo to step down as Senate minority leader, saying he's well past his time.

He's only been in Washington for forty-three years!

Hmm.

Maybe there's something to it, after all!

At any rate, it will take weeks before all of the dislocations caused by Schumer's Shutdown will be corrected.

So, where doe Schumie Doo go from here?

Good question.

All of the radical younger Democratic politicians, a rather dismal lot, are looking to replace him...with themselves.

That upcoming gang fight will be most amusing to witness!

In the meantime, I suggest that they take their Valium and get a good night's sleep.

After all, tomorrow is another day!
