US President Donald Trump Hosts the Saudi Crown Prince at the White House, or Murder Most Royal!
Well, there goes the neighborhood!
President Trump received the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman at the White House.
It was a public relations attempt to rebuild the Crown Prince's sordid reputation and tarnished image.
By seeking the approval of the most powerful man in the world, our own president, it was thought that the Crown Prince would gain respectability in the eyes of the world.
Because the Crown Prince was not only notorious as a wife beater but as a murderer as well, having ordered the execution of dissident Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi in 2018.
Khashoggi had fled Saudi Arabia in fear of his life and was then living in Istanbul, Turkey.
That was a rather odd choice, since the Turkish President Erdogan is no fan of dissident journalist criticizing HIS regime and usually jails them.
The Saudi Crown Prince thereupon ordered a fifteen-man Saudi hit squad to execute Khashoggi by luring him to the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, then dismembering his body, packing him in boxes and disposing of him in an as yet undisclosed matter.
Unfortunately, the sheer brutality of this act in our modern, supposedly civilized time, shocked the world.
The Crown Prince and his fellow Arab sultans, Emirs and Kings didn't understand what all of the fuss was about.
After all, they have the power of life and death over their subjects, and Mohammed bin Salman was just "doing his thing!"
And they control a goodly portion of the world's oil supply, so they felt they could stink, and nobody would say a word.
Only they all miscalculated this time.
The "civilized" western democracies complained about Khashoggi's murder and condemned the Saudi Crown Prince for ordering it.
While her ordered a massive cover-up over Khashoggi's murder and was driven to lie that he knew nothing about it, nobody was buying it.
Mohammed bin Salman had become pariah in the eyes of the world, which was no mean feat, and he was unaccustomed to such treatment.
As the heir to a wealthy absolute monarchy, he could not bear the fact that people not within his power could speak openly and without fear of retribution to criticize him.
And calling him a murderer.
Which he is.
So, the Saudi spin control doctors sought to have a rapprochement with the West, particularly the United States.
The Biden regime would have none of it, because the Biden Crime Family stopped short of murder in pursuit of its illicit goals.
The Trump administration, of the other hand, was more than willing to reintegrate a fabulously wealthy "repentant" sinner back into the international community and restore his respectability.
For a price.
The price was trillions of Saudi dollars to be invested in America!
Morally, it stinks but it IS a good deal for America.
After all, the Saudis and other Arab Gulf State have been taking trillions of dollars out of America over the last fifty years and it was damned well time they put some of it back.
So, Mohammed bin Salman came to the White House and was received by The Donald, who dismantled the Press Corps embarrassing questions about Khashoggi's murder by saying how much he loved this guy.
Mohammed bin Salman looked suitably humble with a slight smile on his face, until The Donald grabbed his left hand.
Then he looked slightly shocked.
In Arab culture, the left hand is used for certain hygienic purposes, like wiping your ass.
The Donald must have known something about that, too, because he kept saying "I don't care where his hand has been! I hold it anyway!"
And so concluded the Press conference, with the Saudi Crown Prince claiming Khashoggi's murder was a "misunderstanding." And The Donald stated that "Things happen."
Of course, The Donald would like Saudi Arabia to subscribe to his "Abraham Accords," which would regularize their relations with Israel, but Mohammed bin Salman made it clear before that he would only do so if Israel agreed to the "Two State" solution to the Palestinian problem.
THAT Israel will never do!
So Saudi Arabia's adherence to the "Abraham Accords" is a non-starter.
But the US will profit handsomely from receiving a murderer at the White House.
And Mohammed bin Salman has started back on the road to respectability thanks to the US President.
Ahh, money changes everything.
And there is really nothing that money CAN'T buy.
At least Mohammed bin Salman and The Donald think so.
