The War Against Iran is NOT Going The Donald's Way!

Despite his statement that the US has already won his war against Iran, the truth is that The Donald hasn't.

Far from it.

Our so-called, self-appointed "Peace President" has twice in the last year has sent weapons of mass destruction against Iran, in conjunction with Israel. 

In fact, it was Israel's Benjamin Netanyahu that precipitated both incidents, and The Donald was forced to go along with it in order to save face.

The first incident led to "peace" negotiations, which really went nowhere, and were promptly abandoned to begin this second war.

Once again, Benny was the chief instigator of the current war.

Benny's political career in Israel requires perpetual wars to keep himself in power and out of jail.

Any possibility of a neutralized Iran without nuclear capabilities would be a threat to him.

So, Iran would have to be destroyed in a war where Israel was a major participant so he could look like a hero and cement his leadership role in his own country and the world at large.

Neither he nor The Donald were concerned with the death and destruction their egos would produce, as long as it happened in Iran.

Both Israeli and American missiles target not only military targets in Iran, but civilian ones as well, exhorting ordinary Iranians to rise up against their government...to install a government friendly to the countries that were killing them!

True, Israel managed to kill Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in a bombing raid within hours of starting this latest war, as well as close advisors, his daughter-in-law and grandson.

The Donald and Benny then expected Iran to sue for peace.

Only Iran did the unexpected.

They retaliated with surprising speed against Israel, America and America's allies in the Middle East, bombing not only military targets, but industrial sites also (related to the production of oil and desalinization plants for fresh water) and civilian targets.

They effectively closed the Strait of Hormuz, the only outlet from the Persian Gulf, thus disrupting the flow of oil tankers the world is so heavily dependent upon.

Nearly 20% of the world's oil comes from that region and so oil prices increased astronomically overnight!

And they chose as their new Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of the Supreme Leader murdered by Israeli bombing.

That same bombing killed his wife and son.

He has every reason to hate Israel, America and their allies.

He will not be the pliant puppet The Donald and Benny hoped to install as Supreme Leader in Iran.

Nobody is seriously considering putting the son of Iran's last shah in charge, either, despite his massive campaign putting himself forward as an interim leader.

And Iran continues to step up its missile attacks on Israel, American installations in the Middle East and their allies there.

Iran's goal is to cripple world's economy, to make continuing the war against them undesirable and to show America's wealthy Arab allies that The Donald cannot protect them.

This seems to be working.

Even worse, the cessation of "peace" negotiations between the US and Iran less than two weeks ago and Israel and America's attacking Iran meant that Iran's proxies, the Hezbollah in Lebanon and the Houthi rebels in Yemen now felt free to attack Israel to avenge their patron.

Benny and The Donald didn't count on that, stupidly believing that Iran would collapse in a day and that their proxies would cease further military operations.

But Benny is always at his best during wars.

The Donald, on the other hand, is looking increasingly haggard and making contradictory statements that people are noticing easily and are easily disproved.

Even worse for The Donald is that his Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, has not ruled out sending American troops to invade Iran, something that the president has always said he would never do!

Worse still is that Hegseth has stated that the US will NOT follow the accepted conventions of war, which makes the US no better than Russia regarding its war in Ukraine.

It means that Hegseth has joyfully embraced the New Barbarism we have seen in evidence throughout many current wars and acts of terrorism.

It also reveals the utter moral bankruptcy of the Trump regime.

In fact, Putin is the only real winner here.

Since the Persian Gulf has been effectively blocked off by Iran, Russia's oil production is now an incredible valuable commodity for the global market.

Despite The Donald's sanctions against countries buying Russian oil, he has relaxed them to lessen the impact of his war against Iran.

The increase on oil prices will provide a huge shot in the arm for Russia's economy and bolster its flagging performance in the war against Ukraine, much to the dismay of the European Union, whose most powerful member states have been forced to be supportive of The Donald's actions against Iran.

That must gall the shit out of them!

At the same time, Putin is providing Iran with intelligence reports about military movements against them and continuing to purchase weapons from them to use against Ukraine.

Interesting when one considers that The Donald has claimed that he and Benny have destroyed Iran's military capabilities, even as Iran sends missiles against their enemies!

But then, The Donald is clearly suffering from wishful thinking.

This won't be a quick war.

It might well prove to be The Donald's Iraq or Afghanistan.

We have already seen how those adventures ended.

And his plans to win the Nobel Peace Prize is slipping out of his grasp.

Again.

No matter his threats and bluster, The Donald is clearly NOT worthy of that prize.

In the meantime, our gasoline prices have risen, even though we don't import oil from Iran.

And our grocery prices have risen.

And other retail prices have risen as well.

Our government is now blaming Iran for that.

A sucker is born every minute.
