Implementing the Provisions of the 25th Amendment Against The Donald! A Study in Futility!

It is no secret that the increasingly erratic behavior of The Donald has caused the world to question his mental state.

Frankly, it looks as though he has gone off the deep end.

Yes, we all knew he was a megalomaniac and a narcissist.

And we all excused his regular outbursts and vulgarity with "That's just The Donald being The Donald,"

But his behavior has gone way past that now.

He has become an embarrassment to all but the most rabid MAGA cultists.

The sad fact is that The Donald's election in 2024 offered so many of us the hope that he would keep his campaign promises and reverse the national humiliation caused by the corrupt Biden regime.

And for one brief, gaudy hour it looked as though he would.

But that never came to pass, and he breached faith with most Americans who trusted him and voted for him.

He pissed off our allies, engaged in two wars against Iran at Israel's request, engaged in activities against Venezuela in violation of international law and caused domestic prices to rise dramatically to Biden era levels.

Just to name a few of his accomplishments.

All of the hopes we had invested in The Donald as a "peace president" have been dashed.

It is like a Victorian romance novel where the betrayed heroine says, "I hate you for allowing me to hope!"

The Democrats are delighted with such popular discomfiture, especially with the mid-term elections coming up in November.

The Democrats will easily retake the House of Representative, which has a razor-thin Republican majority there and possibly the Senate as well.

This will hamstring any legislation The Donald and his cronies might want to enact.

The Democrats are also teasing us with their talk of implementing the provisions of the 25th Amendment, which allows for the forcible removal from office of a president whose mental and/or physical incapacity prevents him from fulfilling his constitutional role.

We can see how physically unhealthy The Donald is, despite all of the orange make-up he cakes on his face.

We also see now that The Donald has gone batshit crazy.

But the Democrats talk of implementing it is an exercise in futility.

A little background on the 25th Amendment is necessary here.

The 25th Amendment was ratified in 1967 and "established procedures for presidential succession and addressing presidential incapacity allowing the vice president to assume powers temporarily or permanently under specific conditions."

This can be done by the president's initiative, which The Donald will never do, or by the vice president along with a majority of the Cabinet, where Vice President JD Vance is NOT popular.

The Cabinet consists of The Donald's creatures and wouldn't want to see him replaced under any circumstances.

This is especially true of Pete Hegseth, the bloodthirsty, war-mongering Secretary of War and of Marco Rubio, Secretary of State, who wants The Donald to conquer Cuba for him.

Rubio also sees himself as The Donald's successor in the 2028 presidential election.

Having Vance as president might quash his hopes in that regard.

If the situation is only temporary, the vice president is merely the acting president until the president recovers.

The Donald won't.

In the case of the president's death or permanent disability, the vice president becomes THE president and then has the power to appoint a new vice president to fill his own vacancy of that office.

However, to permanently deprive The Donald of the presidency would require a two-thirds vote of both Houses.

And the Democrats simply don't have the requisite numbers in either House to do it and it is highly doubtful that enough Republicans would cross over to accomplish it, either.

Which is why the Democrats are praying for landslides for their candidates in the mid-term elections.

Oh, I am sure that they will the House and possibly the Senate, but they still won't have enough votes to finally get rid of The Donald.

Just like the times they impeached him but failed to convict him.

But the Democrats keep on dangling that possibility like a carrot to attract voters.

Which is why I hate them, too, for allowing us to hope.

We are stuck with The Donald until he does somethings extremely crazy in public, witnessed by a lot of people.

Then and only then might the Republicans concede that The Donald has to go, even if that means having to suffer JD Vance as president for a couple of years
