The April Fool's Day Joke is on Him! Trump Obliquely Admits Defeat in His War Against Iran!

The whole world has seen that The Donald and Benny's war against Iran hasn't gone to plan.

Despite their tortured efforts to destroy Iran and remake it to suit their own egos and agendas, that hasn't happened and the war, with its death and destruction still goes on.

This has infuriated The Donald, who supposedly penned "The Art of the Deal."

He expected Iran to capitulate on Day One of his and Benny's war against them, and gratefully accept any deal that he might offer, no matter how humiliating.

Only Iran has repeatedly said "No deal!"

The Donald knows only how to insult, threaten and intimidate. Those are his methods and they are not working here.

His latest bullying tactic was to threaten Iran with "Hell on earth" if they did not reopen the Strait of Hormuz to shipping, specifically the shipping of oil, which the world economy depends upon and 20% of it passes through the Strait of Hormuz.

The Donald gave Iran 48 hours to comply. Then he extended it to five days. Then another extension, this time of ten days.

In the meantime, he and Benny continued to bomb Iran, and not just military sites.

But The Donald had overplayed his hand.

The US, for all of its military and naval might, was either unable or unwilling to expend any more men, money and materiel to reopen the strait.

And Iran knows it.

Iran has even stated that "friendly ships" (those NOT connected to The Donald, Benny or their allies) may pass through the Strait of Hormuz IF they pay a toll.

At the time of this writing, some twenty ships have already passed through the strait by the good graces of the Iranian regime and more will come, no thanks to the efforts of Trump.

Estonia's Kaja Kallas, a big shot in the European Union with a long title that is in reverse proportion to the small size and small population of her country, found it necessary to state that it was against International Maritime Law for Iran to impose tolls on ships entering and leaving the strait.

Apparently, Madam Kallas found it politic NOT to mention that The Donald and Benny have been thumbing up their noses at international law for years.

That kind of courage Kallas does not have.

The Donald responded by saying that America does not use the Strait of Hormuz, and those countries that do have two choices: Buy oil from the US or take over the strait by force.

This was his oblique admission that he had failed to reopen the strait, which was closed, ironically, only after The Donald and Benny made war on Iran!

And The Donald also failed to realize that there is a third option for those states that are dependent upon oil from the Persian Gulf: To distance themselves from the US and negotiate directly with the Iranian regime.

THAT is probably the most likely outcome. especially since the European Union is already distancing itself from Trump and made it clear that they would not involve themselves in his and Benny's war.

But it is clear that The Donald failed here, no matter how he dresses it up and lies about it.

What is also clear is that he failed his allies in the Persian Gulf, too, since they always depended upon US protection if push came to shove and need the Strait of Hormuz open to ship their petroleum products to their international customers.

One might ask how much he likes the taste of crow and humble pie.
