Every culture on Earth has their version of the old tale "The Sorcerer's Apprentice," where a student of the mystic arts unleashes the Dark Forces in his master's absence and cannot exorcise them when they get out of control. Disney's "Fantasia" features a delightful retelling of that tale, with Mickey Mouse as the sorcerer's apprentice. Unfortunately, for both the US and the world, The Donald has taken over that role. While The Donald IS a rodent, he is not nearly so loveable as Mickey Mouse. The effects have been nothing short of disastrous for everyone but The Donald, the Trump Crime Family, their cronies and Israel's Benjamin Netanyahu, who is The Donald's particular partner in crime. The right extremist, neo-Nazi Alternativ für Deutschland won 44% of the vote in Sachsen-Anhalt on Sunday. It was both feared AND expected. Sachsen-Anhalt has not fared well since German reunification in 1990. It is, in fact, the poorest of the German Länder. Neither have the other German Länder that comprised the former East Germany, which is where the AfD have made inroads in the past five years. The people there have felt let down by the government of the unified Germany, believing that they had better lives under the Russian puppet state that was Communist East Germany. Several people on German news programs have stated that at least there were jobs then. You might not have liked them, but at least you had them and got paid for them. That is one of the factors behind the AfD's rise in Eastern Germany, and especially on Sunday in Sachsen-Anhalt.   Anyone who has ever visited an amusement park, a fun fair or traveling carnival has experienced the thrill of fun house mirrors. These mirrors are so crafted as to distort the images of the viewer into all sorts of weird shapes and sizes. But what happens when the person or object casting their reflections into such a mirror are already pathetic caricatures, like the US government? Does the mirror make their reflections look normal, or even worse? That is the question. Okay! We all know that The Donald is downright crazy! Because he is also the US president, he is downright dangerous. Even worse, as head of the Trump Crime Family, he has enriched them by billions of dollars at the taxpayers' expense, which is a good deal considering how most of his business deals and casinos went bankrupt before he ever even considered running for the presidency. Of course, the Democrats shriek about this, seeming to forget that the Clinton and Biden Crime Families enriched themselves to the tune...

  The Donald is up to his old tricks again. While he fancies himself as Lord God King of the Universe, when crossed The Donald behaves like your typical schoolyard bully: He threatens. Most of the time his threats are empty because he simply does NOT have the power to realize them, but his threats expose the moral bankruptcy of himself, his crime family and his administration. When dealing with the war against Iran, which he and Israel's Benjamin Netanyahu started and cannot win, he stated that he was more than willing to commit war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide to win. I think that by now all but the most completely brainwashed Americans have recognized the moral bankruptcy of The Donald's second administration. The Donald himself is a bully, a war monger, a braggart and a pathological liar, claiming victory in his and Benny's war against Iran which they have clearly lost and peace is further way than ever. He and his cabinet can best be described as international war criminals, crying foul and accusing others of flouting international law which never hindered their own international actions. The Trump dynasty itself can be best described as a "Crime Family," whose practices of corruption have exceeded even the Clinton and Biden Crime Families. July 4, 2026, is the 250th anniversary of the Second Continental Congress adopting the Declaration of Independence, which broke with the United Kingdom and ended its dominion over the 13 American colonies. It is, therefore, America's 250th birthday. Yet, as an American, I cannot get worked up about it. I am old enough to remember the Bicentennial. We had just survived the nightmares of the Vietnam War and President Nixon's Watergate scandal, which almost destroyed America and brought the Nixon regime crashing down in ruins. It was a celebration of America and Americans, with festivities across our nation celebrating that fact, televised so that people who could not be present would be able to witness them, both here and abroad. Let's face it, Larry the Cat has been the only dependable personality at Number 10 Downing Street for the last fifteen years. As "Mouser in Chief," Larry has been more popular than most British politicians and has lasted at Number 10 longer than any of them, He has seen five prime ministers come and go in that time. Today, that number rose to six! "Sir" Keir Starmer announced his resignation as British Prime Minister today, although he will stay on until the Labour Party chooses another leader, who will then become Prime Minister in Starmer's place. That person will probably be Andy Burnham, formerly mayor of Greater Manchester whose election as an MP for Makerfield last week put the final nail in Starmer's political coffin, as Burnham stated that if elected to Parliament he would challenge Starmer for leadership of the Labour Party. Let's face it. The Donald is a rude, crude boor. He has become just as much an embarrassment as Sloppy Joe Biden and Kamelhead Harris ever were. Let's face it, The Donald's second administration has been an utter failure both domestically and globally. He has been unable to fulfill any of the campaign promises he made. That is NOT unusual among politicians seeking election to public office. However, the promises he made were so exorbitant that his inability to realize them make them even more glaring. So, he lies and tells everyone that his agenda has been successful when everyone can see that he hasn't been. Apart from pissing off friend and foe alike, The Donald's only successes have been to bomb fishing boats in the Caribbean Sea, kidnap Venezuela's Maduro and bully his successor there into submission.   Let's face it, The Donald has become a tiresome boor. While he has always been a boor, and an egotistical one at that, the boor has become a bore. And a lying one at that, with delusions of grandeur and a God complex that is supported by his equally ignorant and arrogant Cabinet and MAGA radicals. And are.  The Donald's recent two-day semi-state trip to China can only be realistically described as underwhelming, disappointing and unsuccessful. NOT according to The Donald, though. He originally touted his trip to China as an opportunity to make new trade deals with President Hsi, especially in the areas of agriculture, investment in American industrial redevelopment and the purchase of 500 Boeing jets. The Donald kept stating that China wanted to "make a deal," and he considers himself to be the master of the deal. He was about to get his comeuppance. The Donald also planned to discuss Taiwan and China's relationship to Iran, vis a vis his and Netanyahu's unprovoked attack and ensuing (and continuing) war with that country and its closing of the Strait of Hormuz, through which 20% of the world's oil passes. I will be the first to admit it: I voted for Donald Trump in 2024. And in 2016 and 2020. King Charles III of the Disunited Kingdom and his current wife, Queen Camilla, began their state visit to the US on Monday. Yawn. It is lacking the tumultuous fanfare state visits usually produce because of the media circus produced by the supposed assassination attempt of the president and/or high-ranking government officials at the White House Correspondents Dinner on Saturday Night. THAT incident has raised a lot more questions than the government has provided logical or believable explanations, which is giving the media plenty to concern itself with, to the exclusion of all else. Yet less than twelve hours after the incident, it was announced the King Charles III and his wife would make a four-day state visit to the US starting on Monday!
